ROGERS, WICKER, RYKMAN & SPEDALE LLC CHANGES NAME TO EDO CONSULTING
edo consulting launched to reflect firm's expanding practice
and growth plans
Atlanta, GA/New York, NY --- February 3, 2003 --- edo consulting,
formerly Rogers, Wicker, Rykman & Spedale LLC (RWRS, LLC) announced
that it has changed its name to edo consulting. The name
change reflects the firm's approach, the recent realignment of the
founding executive team, and is in line with the firm's previous
announcements on growing its partnership ranks.
The Firm selected edo because of its association with knowledge,
discovery and fearlessness. "Edo" (pronounced "ee-dough")
is the ancient name for Tokyo. During the reign of the Tokugawa
Shoguns, the true center of power, government, the economy and social
life was Edo. More than just a historical city; Edo holds great
symbolic imagery and meaning for the Japanese people. Some have
characterized the era as Venice during The Renaissance, Victorian
London, and the Wild West - all happening at once.
"edo consulting has invested heavily in building a cohesive,
thriving, learning organization that helps its clients resolve some
of the most complex supply chain challenges with unwavering focus.
We wanted a name that could reflect that," stated Leana Rykman,
a Managing Principal with the Firm.
Through the application of its proprietary Capability Maturity
Model ™, an analysis framework that aids companies in doing more
than just find a better way to implement software, the Firm helps
it clients refine their supply chain performance by thinking beyond
their implementation; edo helps take its client's supply chain competencies
to a more refined level. Furthermore, edo consulting provides companies
with the capabilities to fill the gaps they've identified in their
packaged SCM applications, post-implementation.
Functionally, the Firm focuses on the solution sets that can most
severely impact an enterprise's odds for success: Demand Management,
Supply Planning, Transportation, Fulfillment, and Network Strategy.
Drawing upon years of experience in the consumer goods, industrial,
and high tech sectors, edo consulting's competencies have been built
to accommodate companies in each stage of their supply chain life-cycle.
